In order to better serve industrial enterprises to participate in the delivery business of futures trading and ensure the smooth operation of the futures market, China Iron and Steel Association and Dalian Commodity Exchange organized some steel enterprises to hold a special (video) meeting on the facilitation of iron ore futures delivery on August 7 to exchange views on further expanding delivery resources.

Heads of relevant departments at the meeting introduced that in the near future, on the basis of the existing brand delivery system, it is planned to increase some minerals that meet delivery standards and are generally accepted by the market as deliverable brands in batches.At the same time, it encourages and supports existing domestic mining brands to participate in the delivery, further increases the number of delivery warehouses, promotes the leading domestic steel enterprises to become iron ore traders’ warehouses, and deeply participates in the delivery of iron ore futures trading.In addition, the China Iron and Steel Association will fully solicit opinions from steel enterprises and market participants and report to the exchange, so that it can timely adjust the premium of the brand and keep close to market changes.Through the above measures, we will improve delivery facilitation, make the futures market closer to the spot market, give full play to its functions, and better serve the steel industry.
